Kunzite is a fairly young gemstone and was only discovered in 1902 by gemstone specialists. Kunzite is of the pink Spodumene variety. It’s a gemstone that has a pink to violet color, and sometimes it’s even colorless, But the more pink in  color it’s more expensive, Baby Pink is the most valuable color, and deep pink are almost all heated which make it lower in value.

Kunzite is the light pink to violets purple variety of the mineral spodumene. It’s found in Afghanistan, Brazil, Madagascar, and the US state of California and Pakistan.

It’s a transparent and high luster stone. Kunzite gets its beautiful lilac-pink colors from the presence of manganese in the stone.
